There were no SATs in 2020 or 2021 due to the pandemic. The most recent external data is from 2019.
It would be fair to say we are disappointed overall with the SATs results. However, there were some positives:
In Maths the number of children achieving expected was above the Local Authority and in line with National figures.
In Reading the number of children achieving Greater Depth was above the Local Authority figures.
We are focusing continually on improving the quality of teaching in English in order to improve results.
Thank you for your continued support.
Progress Measures: KS1 to KS2:
The progress measures compare pupils’ Key Stage 2 results to those of other pupils nationally with similar prior attainment at Key Stage 1.
Progress scores are centred around 0, with most schools within the range of -5 to +5.
- A score of 0 means pupils in this school on average do about as well at KS2 as those with similar prior attainment nationally.
- A positive score means pupils in this school on average do better at KS2 as those with similar prior attainment nationally.
- A negative score means pupils in this school on average do worse at KS2 as those with similar prior attainment nationally.
The pupils' marks in the test are converted to a scaled score where 100 is the average score in the country. All pupils' scores in a school are then averaged to give an overall school scaled score.
